But even though it’s phony, the quality is impeccable. True, the silver-painted trim isn’t aluminum, and the wood is fake. Pleasing colors meld with soft-touch surfaces, especially on the upper-level trims like the SX. The cabin is the Telluride‘s selling point. The Telluride fits into the Range Rover and Volvo club-no doubt the inspiration for “Telluride” embossed in wide capital letters across the front and back of the car, as well as the shoulder line, that, like the Volvo XC90, widens the SUV just below the windows. Its square-jawed front, smooth side and large, curved taillights are both unique and classic. While sharing a chassis and powertrain with the Hyundai Palisade, the Telluride got the better body. The design manages to be unique without going overboard on stylistic flourishes.
